I have been retained to manage their facilities in the Toronto area and to provide ongoing advice with regards to various facility, real estate and leasing issues for their offices world wide to ensure that operations are consistent; leases are administered efficiently and that real estate is utilized profitably. We have managed the leasehold improvements in Toronto , New York and Mexico City and negotiated leases in Toronto , Madrid and Sydney . We also act as property managers for excess space in the Toronto area.

Cyberplex Interactive

June 1999 – May 2000 (Toronto)

to mentor the office services staff throughout their explosive development and growth to ensure they understood and were accountable for delivery of the services they provided; provided project management during planning, design and construction phases of the build-out of new premises (30,000 sf); arranged for furniture procurement and installation; recommended and implemented the security system; and reviewed lease documents for all Cx offices through-out Canada and US with the view to assessing best value.

Cedara Software

June 2000 – May 2001 (Toronto)

Acting as the Director, Facilities, provided detailed analysis of real estate needs; space management with the aid of FM Systems software; lease administration and negotiations; furniture procurement and disposal; and development of a facilities master plan to handle future growth. Duties also included responsibilities for the day to day operations relating to office services including reception, mail management, storage, shipping & receiving, food services, travel; purchasing of all office equipment and supplies, management of building maintenance, life safety and security systems and maintaining a relationship with landlords. ( Germany ) - managed the design and budget for new office premises ensuring that the Cedara (SNS Division) brand image was maintained.

City of Brampton - Parks & Recreation Department

to examine the changing trends within other communities which lead to the development of a model which now provides a basis for comparing the performance and efficiencies for all similar facilities (i.e. ice arenas, fitness centers, pools, etc.); reviewed the physical layout of the facilities as well as the cost of operating each facility and provided an analysis of the current situation making recommendations for improvements.


IOF Foresters ( national)

To assess their accommodation needs and procured space for six branch offices throughout Ontario , Alberta and BC. Worked with the designer on the standard space design and furniture procurement and project managed the build out of the offices ensuring the IOF brand identity was maintained in all locations.

GSI Group

July 2001 – March 2002 (Toronto)


MBS – Support Services Bureau Consolidation Strategy):

– to manage the logistics of relocating and consolidating 15 offices around Metro into one new site; to ensure the user requirements are known and met; to confirm the amount of space required and participate as part of the team to source a new location; ensure government space standards are met; specify all furniture & equipment and ensure the multiple relocations occur within the given timeframe. The project team initiatives included the acquisition of a new facility; development of a strategy to disentangle and decommission equipment and furniture; assess and recommend process standardization that would identify concrete service improvements; and ensure current data has integrity.

Management Board Secretariat – Accommodations Branch
September 2004 – March 2005

Phase 2 of the consolidation strategy which was started in 2001. Working with the Accommodations Branch project manager I collected and analyzed data needed for the programming in order to understand user requirements. We assisted the project manager with the design stage and construction stage of all three new locations and facilitated in the relocation and disentanglement of 15 branch offices moving to 3 locations in regional areas of Ontario .
